The Association DUGTA - Design Universel, Graphisme Tactile & Audio - was created by Hoëlle Corvest to stimulate the availability of well-made tactile images.
Hoëlle Corvest-Morel worked for 30 years in the famous Science Museum: la Cité des Sciences, as the officer responsible for accessibility of both the permanent and temporary exhibitions. She retired in April 2016, which allowed her to dedicate more time to her passion: to stimulate research and sharing of knowledge on (audio-)tactile images. Her ultimate goal is the production and the easy availability of well-made (audio-)tactile images and books, enabling blind and low-vision readers to gain more exact knowledge than can be acquired through description alone.
