Scouts Victoria contributes to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law; to help build a better world, where people are self fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society.
We are a voluntary non-political educational movement for young people, and are open to all, regardless of gender, race, religion or sexuality.
The aim of Scouting is to encourage the social, physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual development of young people so they may play a constructive role in society as responsible citizens and as members of their local and international communities. This aim is achieved through a strong and active program that inspires young people to do their best and to always be prepared.
Scouting is found worldwide in 161 countries, with distinct age levels and programs that have shaped the development of youth and adults for more than 100 years. Scouts are in every part of our community, and are one of the largest youth organisations in Australia.
More than 20,000 youth and adults in Victoria from wide cultural and religious backgrounds, including those with intellectual or physical disabilities, enjoy an unlimited range of activities in the bush, the sea, the sky, rivers, mountains, towns and cities.
