If a business unit is facing significant challenges, readying for investment or growing quickly I'll conduct a rapid, top-to-bottom evaluation of its status, issues and prospects. The output is a straight-talking report with recommended priority actions.
2) Get-well and Get-better
Delivering changes on the back of a diagnostic assessment.
From strategic repositioning, evolution (or revolution) of processes, organisation or leadership to management training and mentoring.
This may include support in [non-public-capital-markets] investment readiness (e.g. planning, projection and positioning).
My focus is B2B companies with a significant technical element to the products.
I’ve been supporting and mentoring senior execs and leadership teams for the past 15 years.
For the 30 years before that I was in the hot seat myself, holding senior / board positions including CEO and COO as well as Director of Sales, of Operations and of Finance for organisations from start-ups to corporates.
Some examples:
- Director (B2B division) at Virgin Media (when it was previously Telewest in the FTSE-100)
- Founding Director of uSwitch.com (for the first 2 years - later sold for £210m)
- Director at 186k (start-up UK telecom business - funding totalled £600m)
