We love the Quad Cities. Since 1961 it has been our home. Even though over 60 years have elapsed from the time we first broke ground for our Milan facility, we have remained a locally owned and operated bank, committed to the growth and well being of this area and the people who make it so special.
On January 1, 2008, Blackhawk State Bank officially changed our name to Blackhawk Bank & Trust to reflect the addition of our Trust Department, which we established in the Fall of 2007. Only the name has changed. Our bank has been a local success story. From our roots in Milan, IL we have expanded into Rock Island, Coal Valley, Moline, East Moline, Silvis, Colona, Aledo, Edgington, Port Byron and Geneseo,IL as well as Davenport, LeClaire, Princeton and Bettendorf, IA. From those locations we serve the residents of Rock Island, Henry and Mercer Counties in Illinois and Scott County in Iowa. Each time we have poured the footings for a new facility into the earth of another community, we have renewed the pledge we made back in 1961: To remain a locally owned bank.
