Houston Montessori Center’s Mission is to: Educate teachers and administrators in continuing the work and principles of Maria Montessori, Advocate for children, adolescents, schools and families, and Inspire a peaceful, just world for all. Houston Montessori Center offers an Integrated Onsite and Online Model for all of our teacher courses, which combines the effectiveness of face-to-face education with the convenience of a remote learning experience. We are one of the only centers in the world to offer seven AMS-affiliated credential courses to our adult learners. Utilizing a team-teaching approach, we guide the adult learner through two phases: academic and practicum. Our skilled teaching staff of experienced mentors, instructors, and field consultants are grounded in Montessori philosophy as well as the most up-to-date research in the fields of education, and human growth and development to prepare all our adult learners for the classroom and beyond.
