The Canadian Football League Players Association (CFLPA) was established in 1965 and has since that time represented the professional football players in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the objective of establishing fair and reasonable working conditions for the players.
The CFL Players Association:
-Represents active members in negotiations with both the CFL and the Member Clubs with respect to all terms and conditions of their employment.
-Assure that the terms of the CBA are met and enforced.
-Provides and administers benefits such as a pension plan, medical plan, insurance, and counselling.
-Protects and attempts to raise the profile of players.
