Accessible Communication for the Deaf, Inc (ACD) works with companies and organizations -Who are afraid of non-compliance with the federally mandated Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 -Who are concerned with effectively communicating with the deaf and hard-of-hearing in order to make their goods and services equally accessible, and -Who are scared the quality of interpreters they currently use may be putting them at legal and/or financial risk How does ACD solve the complex problems facing its clients? - By working closely with clients and drawing on its many resources to devise and implement innovative solutions based on their needs. ACD currently utilizes the skills of over 200 independent contract interpreters in South Florida and the Tampa Bay area to provide 24/7 sign language interpreting services. ACD offers Nationally Certified and State Qualified interpreters for on-site legal, medical, educational, mental health and community settings. In addition to on-site services, ACD also offers to its clients customized and dynamic Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) solutions to provide immediate access to interpreting services on-demand.
