Lost Valley Education and Event Center (LVEEC) is a 501(c)3 that offers a holistic approach to sustainability education, engaging students in ecological, social, and personal growth. Our educational programs include Permaculture Design Course Certification, Holistic Sustainability Semester, and Social Forestry Camp, as well as 3-month internship opportunities. These hands-on learning experiences immerse students in topics such as watershed regeneration, soil health, PNW forest ecology, ecovillage design, natural building, non-violent communication and consensus-oriented community development. LVEEC uses the ecological design principles of permaculture to steward our 87 acres of oak savanna, camas meadow, permaculture gardens, woodland streams, and regenerating forests. Founded in 1989, LVEEC is one of the oldest permaculture sites and ecovillages in the U.S.
