Q Foundation believes in a world where all people have a safe, decent, and affordable home and is at the forefront of advocating for the housing needs of the LGBTQ, HIV+, senior, and disabled communities. We are a technologically forward, dynamic organization that maintains an entrepreneurial culture.
Since 2004, our financial assistance programs have directly prevented or ended homelessness for 3500 households, and our successful track record of passing legislation to curb displacement and homelessness has benefitted hundreds of thousands more.
Major service areas include:
• Housing & Health Case Management: affordable housing application assistance, benefits advocacy, linkages, tenant's rights counseling & landlord mediation;
• Financial Services: back rent to prevent eviction, move in deposit, rent subsidies linked to job training, on-going rental subsidies for senior or disabled residents, financial literacy training;
• Job Training & Supportive Employment: at Q Café located on campus at UC Hastings; and
• Public Policy Advocacy: Imagine and achieve public policy to remove housing barriers for all.
