Located in the Thomas A. McKay Law Enforcement Facility on Woodson Road, Woodson Terrace Police Department serves more than 4,000 residents. The department handles patrol and investigation, provides crime prevention, traffic control and a multitude of citizen focused programs.
This Mission of the Woodson Terrace Police Department is to provide essential services, preserve peace and order, reduce the occurrence and impact of crime, facilitate traffic safety, and protect the constitutional rights of all persons.
The department is committed to providing professional police services on a 24-hours-a-day basis every day of the calendar year.
Our department is overseen and commanded under the direction of Colonel Randy Halstead.
The Operations Division is the largest division within our department. This division is commanded by the Assist Chief of Police, Captain Bret Carbray. Our officers are divided into two 12-hour shifts. Individual shifts are managed by watch commanders who are sergeants.
The Investigations Division is commanded by Lieutenant Dominic Orlando and oversees three detectives who are also attached to the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis.
