Enactus UQ (University of Queensland) was founded on 20th August 2013. As a newly formed Enactus, Enactus UQ is dedicated to enabling humanitarian voluntarism and helping to form a more caring and active community through entrepreneurial action. Enactus UQ is best described as a student run organisation of student, academic and business leaders committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a more sustainable world. EN-trepreneurial—having the perspective to see an opportunity and the talent to create value from that opportunity; ACT-ion—the willingness to do something and the commitment to see it through even when the outcome is not guaranteed; US—a group of people who see themselves connected in some important way; individuals that are part of a greater whole.
