Allied Home Technologies has its roots in Allied Communications Corporation, a commercial audio/video integrator. Jim Anderson founded Allied Communications in 1990 upon returning to Nashville after a career with Brother International Corporation, where he was Director of Marketing for their printer division. Starting from scratch after opening the doors in 1991, Allied Communications was Nashville’s fastest growing A/V firm, twice being recognized as a Future 50 company (an award given to Nashville’s 50 fastest growing companies). The company worked across the state for clients such as Nissan, Martin Marietta, TVA, Vanderbilt, UT, BellSouth, etc. In 1995, Allied Communications was acquired by ATS Telephone of Memphis TN.
Ten years later, in 2005, Jim decided to re-enter the A/V business on the residential side, and the name Allied Home Technologies was chosen. The new company’s focus would be not only on the high tech gear that was so intriguing for today’s discerning homeowner, but more so on the services that act as the glue to hold those pieces together. Further, the direction of the company was specifically spelled out in its mission to always be focused on the unrelenting pursuit of customer happiness. The intention would never be to sell some gear and move on, but rather to form a long term bond with the company’s customers such that they would be assured that Allied would oversee all the technology in their lives and be responsible for its reliability and convenience
