LiveWell Initiative LWI is a non-profit Public Health NGO , with the mission to improve health status of Africans through Health Literacy and Empowerment. Its vision is to increase the life expectancy of Africans to age 70 by the year 2030.
The organisation responded to COVID-19 by developing some pragmatic interventions to mitigate its effect on people, the healthcare system and the general communities at large.

TELEMEDICINE: The LWI approach to solving difficulty in accessing healthcare facilities in this pandemic era involves providing health consultation through digital health service called Telemedicine. The service has been meeting the health needs of Staffers of corporate organizations touching areas like Nutrition, Dental, Emotional and other general and specific health needs.
COVID-19 REPONSE TEAM, CRT: LWI set up about 60 man team of healthcare professionals from different field of expertise to work as frontline officers with government and stakeholders central to tackling the COVID-19 disease.
While some officers were directly engaged at the COVID-19 Frontline, some were assisting at the backend.
HYPOTHESIS TESTING OF A STUDY PROTOCOL: The organization designed Study Protocols 1 (Smart), 2 (Generic) and 3 (Community Health Workers and Low-income settings), which involves the combination of 4-Aminoquinolines with Azithromycin in appropriate doses. The LWI Study Protocols have undergone Hypothesis Testing among Physicians, Researchers, Pharmacists and Clinicians as; Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP), Ambulatory Care, In-Patients Care, Critical Care and Post-Discharge Intermittent Prophylactic Therapy, IPT.
LWI is the 'go-to' organisation for healthcare in Africa, outside of the clinical healthcare system.
