California Wild Ales was born out of our love of funky, sour beers. Having grown tired of the hop wars, we set our sights on producing something different using old-world brewing techniques. We have two locations: Sorrento Valley and Ocean Beach. We now have over 100 barrels fermenting and aging. We have 10 sours on tap at all times, and we add new flavors every week. Here at California Wild Ales we are committed to delivering complex beers.
In order to achieve our standard for the highest quality beer, we will age the beer until it is ready, both in oak barrels and the bottles, no exceptions. This method may take longer but rest assured it will bring it to the world class level that San Diego, as well as ourselves have set for its craft beer.
We are San Diego's only all barrel aged wild ale blendery.
