Thrive partners with mining houses, sourcing mine & local community waste, to produce quality organic composts & living soils. These are used for on-site remediation & regeneration of soil & water resources, while also selling to local regenerative growers.
Thrive's circular economy blueprint then empowers growers to value-add the compost into crops, while makers are also incubated and empowered to value-add the crops into food & fibre products, with each earning their mark-up in the chain. All waste circles back to the waste collectors who then sell to the composters once more.
We are also refining the use of EM and bio-, myco-, and phyto-hyperaccumulators to extract REE's and critical minerals from gold, coal, diamond and other mine wastes. There are in fact several synergies in using such waste streams, with some for instance improving cation exchange capacity in the soil, and others balancing out electrical conductivity etc. This is a fascinating field that has incredible value-adding potential to any mining house. At some point in the future our descendants may wonder why we ever burnt coal, when it contains so many valuable plant nutrients for instance.
