Monarch Academy public charter schools are tuition-free, project-based learning environments located throughout Maryland. The current locations are: Monarch Academy Glen Burnie serving children K–8 in Anne Arundel County, and Monarch Academy Baltimore City serving students in K–5. Monarch Global Academy will open in Laurel, Maryland in the of Fall 2014. Monarch Global Academy is a partnership between TranZed and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP). Monarch Academy schools aim to educate Maryland students to be self-motivated, creative, critical thinkers and life-long learners who are productive contributors to the global community in the 21st century.
