The British Chamber of Commerce Southwest China is an independent, not-for-profit and membership based organisation founded in 1997 with a mission to ‘Connect, Share and Promote’ Sino-British business and investment.
With over two decades’ worth of business experience, we have come to understand the role played by Southwest China as the new driving force of the Chinese economy. With a combined GDP totaling $1.1 billion in 2017, the provinces of Southwest China attract much of the attention that was previously devoted to their Eastern counterparts. The ‘Go West’ strategy, implemented in 2001, and the ‘Belt and Road Initiative’, promoted from 2013, are two of the many examples about the renewed interest paid to the region.
Bolstered by this trend, we look forward to providing you with market intelligence, advice, and networking opportunities, helping your business flourish in one of the world’s fastest growing markets.
