Tomorrow’s Material Handling Solutions - Available Today! AGILOX develops and manufactures Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), tomorrow’s intelligent Material Handling Solution. Developed entirely in-house, from the mechanical design, electrical engineering, navigation and the advanced X-Swarm Technology software solution, the AGILOX AMRs allow for faster reaction to changing requirements and customization depending on the customer’s requirements. Contrary to stationary conveyor technology, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) in general and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) in particular allow the autonomous transportation of materials and goods in industrial environments. AGILOX successfully created a new disruptive product group that replaces conventional AGVs by utilizing real swarm intelligence and no restriction freedom of movement. Our X-Swarm Technology Intelligence allows for direct communication between all the units, without the need for a centralized control system, resulting in a highly efficient and stable distribution of work orders and obstacle avoidance. Work orders are pushed to the swarm, where the AGILOX vehicles determine independently, autonomously, and in real-time which unit is best-suited to carry out the order, depending on various factors such as state of charge, distance to target, priority and time of creation. Orders are created and distributed in a multitude of ways, either through the web-based interface, internally created through schedules, station checks, barcode scanning or by being tied into systems such as SAP or similar. Constant communication between the AGILOX units allows for continuous route evaluation and dynamic routing by sharing live locations of all the units as well as temporary obstacles and route changes throughout the swarm. AGILOX Drive-units allow for a no restriction freedom of movement, giving the ability to rotate in a space as long (or short) as the unit itself, as well as parallel movements and beyond.
