The Union Bar is Johannesburg’s oldest-new craft and artisan cocktail bar. We like to do things the way we’ve always done them. Who ever thought that science and physics would come in handy when making an alcoholic beverage? Well that’s exactly how we make ours. Our cocktails are created with the foundation of, ‘molecular mixology’, making use of molecular gastronomic techniques to create the most delicious pick-me-ups. Dare we say: hell yes! At The Union Bar, we have pioneered the idea of Pop-Up Cocktail bars in South Africa with our inventive concepts and spacial planning. From concept to completion, including sourcing of products, manufacture, shop fitting and custom furniture design - we carefully craft every piece of the puzzle to bring you the ultimate pop-up experience time and time again. To date, we have partnered with brands such as Bombay Sapphire, Grey Goose Vodka and Boston Breweries and popped up in retail shops, shipping containers and even a functional warehouse. Due to the nature of the Pop-Up industry, we're constantly looking for ways to adapt our marketing and communications strategies to changing market conditions.
