Radio Decibel is a commercial radiostation broadcasting on FM in the western, central and southern part of the Netherlands, reaching a potential of 10 million listeners. The station has a rhythmic hot ac format. In the 80's Radio Decibel achieved great popularity and legendary status by using a new and unconventional music format, consisting of the best new dance tracks from the US, the UK, France and Germany. Discovering new artists, trends and records sometimes months before they became mainstream. Singles and album tracks, remixes and extended versions that at the time proved to be a great alternative for mainstream top-40 radio.
