Dairy Food Safety Victoria (DFSV) is responsible for regulating the Victorian dairy industry to safeguard public health.
Victorian dairy products are enjoyed by both Australian and overseas consumers and the industry is an important contributor to the National and State economies. Victoria produces more than 65 per cent of Australia’s milk and accounts for most of its dairy exports.
DFSV licenses all dairy businesses operating in Victoria and implements a regulatory system which underpins the industry’s reputation for safety and quality.
We also provide advice and support to our licensees to help them to produce safe dairy food.
