In its 29th year, NXNE is Canada’s leading discovery festival for emerging new music. Designed to support the live music scene in Toronto, NXNE presents 250+ bands in 20+ of the city's best live music venues (June 12-16, 2024) for the ultimate club-hopping experience. With a commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, NXNE makes it a priority to present BIPOC and under-represented Canadians, by eliminating application fees - and by greatly reducing financial barriers for music fans by presenting showcases of at least 5 acts for a very low priced Full Festival Pass. NXNE started in 1995 in partnership with Austin's SXSW and quickly gained a reputation for helping launch the careers of Canadian artists in intimate settings including: Sarah Harmer (1995), Billy Talent (1999), Sam Roberts (2002), Feist (2004), K’naan (2005), The Arkells (2007), The Beaches (2012), Daniel Caesar (2016) Haviah Mighty (2018) and thousands more - and producing successful festivals recognized by live music fans, musicians, media and industry alike.
