The Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University (SFU) is a global education leader dedicated to improving the practice of teaching and learning, research engagement and scholarly inquiry, and committed to advancing knowledge.
Engaging Research: Our diverse community of scholars and educators endeavours to promote innovation in the way teachers teach and learners learn. Our faculty members are recognized for their work in developing, advancing and enacting knowledge that makes a difference in public education. Throughout our almost 50 years of history, we have grown and evolved in response to the ever-changing challenges and needs of our constituencies. We follow a rigorous research program to investigate theory and provide innovative leadership in issues of educational pedagogy.
Engaging Programs: We are conscious of the needs of our students and the expectations of our community, locally, nationally and internationally. To provide the most intimate and responsive programs, we have evolved the following program areas: Undergraduate Programs; Professional Programs; Graduate Programs; Community Graduate Programs and Field Programs. We also offer opportunities in French language programs and International programs.
Engaging Community: Our unique reputation is based on our close collaborations and partnerships with school districts, administrators and governments to facilitate knowledge sharing. Community partnerships continue to be a priority as we expand our work throughout British Columbia, across Canada and around the world.
