Myanmar Investments ("MIL") is a London Stock Exchange (AIM market) listed investment company established to invest in businesses operating in or with business exposure to Myanmar. It aims to capitalize on the reemergence of Myanmar as a dynamic Asian economy by investing across a range of sectors with strong growth potential that can provide attractive yields and/or capital gains. MIL both invests into local businesses and partners with foreign companies investing in Myanmar. Founded by a group of seasoned private equity professionals, MIL went public in June 2013. Since inception, MIL has raised almost $30 million. Companies into which MIL has invested include the TPG-backed Apollo Towers, a telecom towers company, and the Norfund-backed Myanmar Finance Investment Limited ("MFIL"), a microfinance institution ("MFI").
