Hey, I'm Kaloian (Ka-loh-yun). And I draw girls.
There's something about the female face. Faces in general, are tough to draw. But there's something about the female face.
Ever since I was a kid, I've drawn anywhere I could get away with it. Then, about ten years ago, I got a Wacom tablet and took my art online. I haven't looked back since – unless I'm drawing a portrait of an ex. I've studied fine art, architecture and started a career as a graphic designer. But I still haven't come close to understanding what it is about the female face that keeps me drawing.
People have called my work clean and simple. But I'm trying to test the boundaries of that. I'm keeping the same spirit but adding in layers of complexity to see how I rich I can make my drawings. My work has been featured in various print and digital publications, most significant of which are "Illustration Now! 4" an annual illustration book by Taschen and "52 Aces Playing Cards" by zeixs.
So far? Book covers, album covers, posters, illustrations, ad campaigns, packages and a bunch of other stuff.
