Messrs Shearer & Harvey had worked as chandlers in the Candleriggs district, historically the heart of candle making. At that time, customers still bought their ingredients before the candles were made to order. Proudly Scottish - As the oldest producer of lifestyle candles in the UK, we are upholding a long tradition of Scottish Candle Making — witness the fact that Candleriggs, built in 1724, is one of the oldest streets in Glasgow. It's also where our business began — the original owners first worked here before opening their own factory on the city outskirts in 1897.
