Warwick Finance Societies is the largest society at the University of Warwick with over 2000 members. Through a range of educational events, networking events, international conferences, socials, and sports, WFS aims to provide members with opportunities to explore and develop their interest for finance, to support members in developing professional skills and to connect members with like-minded individuals.
WFS has a range of teams each focused on a particular sector in the financial industry including Corporate Finance, Markets, FinTech, Venture Capital and Commercial Law. The Society also has dedicated teams for Women in Finance and Diversity, who focus on broadening participation in the industry. All teams are supervised by the Board, the senior executives of the society, which consists of two Co-Chairmen, two Co-Presidents and the Treasurer.
The society began in 2000 with the establishment of the Warwick Banking and Finance Society. Several other finance-related societies decided to join forces leading to the creation of Warwick Finance Societies in 2009. WFS retains the plural form of "societies" in its name in order to reflect this unique history.
WFS would like to thank our sponsors who continue to support our society and all our events. Our full list of sponsors are available on our website.
Membership to the society is free to all members of the University of Warwick. WFS is a society under the Warwick Students' Union, a registered UK Charity.
