Centro Community Partners (Centro) is an Oakland-based 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides entrepreneurship and financial literacy training programs, access to microloans and one-on-one business advisory services to low-to-moderate income (LMI) entrepreneurs. Centro services target entrepreneurs who want to start or grow microenterprises to achieve economic security.
Centro selects and trains high potential LMI entrepreneurs to become successful business owners that serve their community. We develop an entrepreneur’s business competency in marketing, small business finance, strategy, operations, and management. In our program, entrepreneurs improve their personal credit and build a foundation of leadership practices for sustained professional growth.
Centro’s purpose is to drive positive social and economic change in underserved communities by creating jobs and improving the quality of life of entrepreneurs and their families.
