XLO India Limited XLO India Limited was set up in 1958 to manufacture fabricate Steering Gear assemblies, Propeller Shafts and Machine tools. XLO India was founded on 10th March, 1958 formerly known as M/s Amerind Engineering Pvt. Ltd. In 1960, the company got technical and equity participation from Ex-cell-O USA and thus the name changed to Ex-Cell-O India Ltd. The company also obtained collaboration from Ross Gears & Tool Co. Ltd. (Division of TRW, USA) in 1961. During these years (1960s), following three products were manufactured with different collaborations at the company plant located in Thane near Mumbai.
