History
The Hobin Company was incorporated in May of 1925 by William Henry Hobin. The firm was founded in Stockton, California 1891 as the R.B Oullahan Company, Real Estate and Insurance. William Henry Hobin was the President and CEO of the company until his death in 1933. William John Hobin entered the firm in 1931 and took over as President and CEO upon the death of his father. William Knight Hobin entered the firm in 1964 after being discharged from the U.S. Army, and became President and CEO upon the death of his father in 1968. Effective January 1, 2010, Molly Hobin Williams of Manhattan Beach became the 4th generation President and CEO of The Hobin Company, Inc., a brokerage firm specializing in Commercial and Residential real estate in Manhattan Beach and Palm Desert. Molly along with her mother, Joan Hobin, who resides in Palm Desert, are the only mother-daughter team to perpetuate a company with 125 year history in California. William K. Hobin remains an officer of the corporation.
