RusHydro is one of Russia's largest power generating companies with 36.5 GW of installed electricity generation capacity in operation.
The Company owns and operates over 70 hydroelectric facilities in Russia and Armenia, including the largest Russian hydropower plant - Sayano-Shushenskaya in Siberia. The Company’s assets also operates geothermal power plants in Kamchatka and the Zagorskaya pumped storage plant in the Moscow Region. RusHydro has a controlling stake in the integrated utility, RAO Energy System of the East, that operates 8.8 GW of heat and power generation assets in the Far East of Russia. Group's assets also include engineering and power retail operations in Russia. RusHydro co-manages 2 hydroelectric power plants (1.3 GW) in Nigeria.
As of September 2013, the Russian Federation owns 67.1% of the company's share capital.
RusHydro shares/DRs are listed on Moscow and London stock exchanges, and included in the MSCI EM and MSCI Russia indices.
