The Securities Transfer Association (STA) is the industry trade organization for transfer agents. Founded in 1911, the STA membership includes more than 150 registered transfer agents, including many mutual fund agents, maintaining records of more than 100 million registered shareholders on behalf of more than 15,000 issuers and funds. The STA serves its members by representing their interests with the SEC and other regulatory bodies, and by providing critical information about changes in regulations that impact transfer agents by means of email alerts, Newsletters, Quarterly Meetings and Conferences.
