MG Engineering is a South Australian company, specialising in Ship-Building, Fabrication, Modular Construction, Plate Forming & Rolling- working across the Marine, Defence and Oil & Gas sectors.
Based on the Port River in South Australia, the company has the advantage of being able to deliver projects via a unique Slipway, being able to cater for projects more 400 tonnes in weight.
Established in 1995, the company has a diverse range of successfully completed projects such as, Fishing Trawlers for Spencer and St Vincent Gulf Fisheries, The South Australian Government River Murray Ferry build, as well as numerous large fabrication projects for the Defence and Oil & Gas industries.
In 2012 MG Engineering was contracted by the Australian Submarine Corporation (ASC) to build and deliver the 3 Mast Ship Blocks for the Australian Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) project. In 2017, MG Engineering was awarded it's first export contract, a 24 metre Scampi trawler for New Zealand Fishery.
