Benaki Phytopathological Institute (BPI) is a non-profit Research Institute legal entity of the Public sector. Founded in 1929 by the national Benefactor Emmanuel Benakis. BPI was the first Greek research institute to have a broad scientific basis in plant health, plant protection, and the evaluation/risk assessment of agrochemicals. Our vision is to continuously support, upgrade and evolve the primary agricultural production with safety for the environment and human health, to remain committed to the global standards, and thereby support the wider economy and civil society of Greece.
