The Hungarian Transmission System Operator Company Ltd. By acting as an independent and transparent transmission system operator since 1 January 2006, MAVIR has all the human and technical resources needed for the system operation and the electricity transmission on high voltage lines. With the aide of these resources, it has all the necessary data and information, therefore MAVIR is not only able and prepared, but also entitled and obliged, under its licence issued by Hungarian Energy Office, to take part in the process of electricity supply.
