The Toronto Financial District BIA is part of a long City of Toronto tradition of area businesses coming together to have a voice, collaborate and grow together as one. Our mandate is to promote economic development in the Financial District through advocacy, communication and street-level improvements.
We represent Toronto’s most sophisticated, diverse and dynamic business centre, an area that provides the services and expertise that fuel the GTA’s economic and structural development. Within our boundaries are the headquarters of five major Canadian banks, the Toronto Stock Exchange and an array of prominent law firms, insurance companies, pension funds, investment firms and accounting firms. Geographically bounded by Queen Street to the north, the CN Rail Yard in the south, Simcoe Street to the west and Yonge Street in the east, the FDBIA includes Union Station, four subway stations and a significant portion of the PATH underground walkway.
The FDBIA is a lean, virtual organization that allocates resources for specific projects in a transparent manner. Our team emphasizes collaboration, creativity and accountability in an effort to fulfill our mandate and benefit our membership.
