The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) is a nonsectarian organization advancing human rights and social justice in the United States and around the world. For more than 80 years, UUSC has engaged people of faith and conscience in responding to vital human rights crises across the world. UUSC’s eye-to-eye partnership model is rooted in radical trust; trust that pushes the institution to partner with grassroots organizations to assess, understand and act on the issues facing the communities most impacted by oppression.
These grassroots partnerships are instrumental in not only helping UUSC and its followers understand issues of injustice and oppression, but to center the voices, wisdom, experiences, expertise, and solutions of those who deal with oppression firsthand. We build these relationships with the goal of following the leadership of communities living at the forefront of some of the most pressing social justice issues of our time.
