Knickerbockerglory is an independent production company launched in 2011 by Jonathan Stadlen with the aim of playing creatively with genre and form.
Our founding producers were the production team behind the BAFTA nominated and RTS award winning Pineapple Dance Studios. Since then we have produced South Side Story (BBC3) GPs: Behind Closed Doors (Channel 5) Boom Town (BBC3), Jodie Marsh On…, Superstars and Superfans (both for TLC) and Twin Towns (Sky1). We also have a Digital Division, run by James Callum.
Transferring our skills from Broadcast Television to Digital Production has allowed Knickerbockerglory to bring our inventive storytelling, engaging ideas and outstanding visual style to new platforms.
Our ability to create such content across multiple platforms and on a range of tight budgets, has led to the department producing content for brands including SpaceNK, Air Wick, iRiS Valet, Lipstick Queen, Modus PR and UK Music within our first 12 months.
With an increase in internet video traffic year on year it has never been more important for brands and businesses to have credible online video content. We can take a project from conception through production and post, to be delivered or published on the desired platform on time and on the money, be that TV, online or mobile.
Knickerbockerglory was set up as a profit-sharing company, and every year we donate a percentage of our profits to a different charity chosen by our production teams. This year our charities were The Shepherds Bush Family Project and Projects For All.
We are not owned by a large media corporation, distributor or super-indie. We are creatively autonomous and able to choose our projects first and foremost because we love them. Our office has been set up to work as a second home – so children are welcome to visit, we support people who require flexible working hours and we have a gold office mannequin called Graham who watches over us.
