Airco was founded in 1949 and purchased by Dahric South Africa in 2002.
Dahric was established in 1977 as trade distributor of Lennox residential and commercial air conditioning products imported from the USA. Today Dahric trades as Airco.
In 1994 we commenced importing a range of unitary air-conditioners (mini splits) from OYL Industries in Malaysia. In 1995 the company purchased the McQuay factories. Brand name and distribution agreements were entered into with OYL for unitary product ex Malaysia and applied products ex France and Italy.
Today, trading under the name Airco, we distribute and offer after sales and service of our comprehensive range of Airco, McQuay, Clint and Calmac equipment, to nine countries throughout southern Africa.
We provide ranges to major corporations and specifiers and provide a comprehensive, competitive range of products to satisfy their diverse needs.
Our head office and main distribution warehouse in Johannesburg covers the following territories: Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Free State, Limpopo and North West Provinces.
We also have branches and warehousing in Cape Town and Durban.
In addition, we actively service a countrywide network of approved dealers who are responsible for the sale of equipment, installation and after sales service.
We regard our dealer network as the “lifeblood” of the supply chain as our product name and reputation is ultimately in their hands.
We assist our dealers in their individual sales efforts by offering them a broad range of products, adequate stock, design assistance, competitive pricing, sales support, spares and technical assistance.
We also make recommendations and offer assistance on major projects to consulting engineers. Distributors and agents have been appointed for their technical abilities and honest business acumen to market products in Pretoria, Eastern Cape, Free State, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Swaziland and Malawi.
