EDUZONE is built from its roots to provide tailored cloud services to Research & Education Community. To do so we’ve implemented technical and legal simplifications for cloud services consumption. From business perspective we offer our clients single contract for consumption of all cloud services and one monthly bill. We’ve successfully implemented single sign-on solution to enable all electronic identities available through GEANT eduGAIN service as a central identity authority. All users from all the federations can easily log in to EduZone with their existing electronic identity. With this functionality we’ve raised security level of protection of user accounts and we’ve enabled instant access for entire Research and Education community. To achieve best usability we’ve analyzed business processes of this community and solved one of the major missing parts of other platforms. Hierarchical delegation functionality enables NRENs and other institutions to share their contractual resources with other institutions and groups of defined users to achieve better cooperation between institutions locally and globally Our motto “Simplify your life” is best described in consuming and accessing our services so to access all of our services by the means of using existing institutional account through the eduGAIN - the pan-European federation of the R&E identity providers - covering the entire Europe and beyond. All users from any institution participating in eduGAIN can access the system immediately, without further need to open additional accounts.
