Established in 1954, the American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM) is the professional society for nearly 3,000 physicians (based in the US and abroad), committed to disease prevention and health promotion. ACPM members are engaged in preventive medicine practice, teaching and research. Many serve on ACPM committees, task forces and panels, representing preventive medicine in national forums, which contributes to the organization's role as a major resource for expertise within this specialized area of medicine. ACPM is a sponsor of the American Journal of Preventive Medicine (AJPM).
