Genos Ltd is a research-intensive SME located in Zagreb, Croatia. We focus on the analysis of protein glycosylation and perform contract research, contract analysis and service for numerous universities, hospitals and private individuals in Europe and overseas.
Through our involvement in the development of forensic genetics technologies in the past decade and current participation in genome-wide association studies we are striving to continuously be at the forefront of research in this field. We actively purse translation of research results into new products and services, which we offer to our customers.
The glycobiology group in Genos has a strong background in the development and application of glycoanalytical techniques (over 100 publications in the past 5 years). We coordinated the first large population study of the human plasma glycome, and subsequently also the first study of the human IgG glycome. We are also a major partner in the large international consortium which performed the first genome wide association study of the human glycome. GlycanAge test of biological age, the leading navigator of personalised healthy ageing, was developed on the basis of these studies.
In The Scientist survey "Best places to work in industry 2013" Genos was ranked #1 in the world.
