Randaberg is The Green Village. The municipality is located as Jæren's northern tip, with Stavanger as its nearest neighbour. It also have border to Sola in the southwest (in the sea) and Kvitsøy municipality in the northwest.

13,000 years old history
The municipality has long been best known as an agricultural municipality. The climate is mild, and some of the first settlers in Norway settled here. In Vistehola, an important tourist attraction, traces of settlement have been found 6000 BC. Randaberg's history stretches back 13,000 years.
