🌻AVNI- THE ECO CLUB of Gargi College, works towards creating an eco-friendly environment in and around the college thereby contributing towards saving our planet Earth. It was established to create environmental consciousness and develop environmental ethics among students. 🌻Our Eco Club aims to create 'clean and green consciousness' amongst students through various innovative methods and to involve students in open orientation and green programs in college. 🌻Our hashtag for the session 2020-21 was #HOPE - Harmony_On_Planet_Earth 🌻The Plantation drive ('Plant a veggie'), along with the Composting Activity (Manure Preparation), conducted in the 2020-21session saw participation of around 135 students, who grew a variety of plants, and vegetables at their homes. Eco-Baithak were conducted, on themes like 'Green Diwali' so as to give volunteers an open platform for discussing their views and ideas. 🌻 AVNI developed the "Steps to Sustainability" series in 2020-21, which covered a variety of activities that allowed students to engage and connect with the environment even being at home. The first-ever virtual Eco-Fest, The H.O.P.E'21, hosted by AVNI, with the theme of "Synergy" was a major highlight of the year. 🌻In concern to the continued deterioration of the ecosystem, as well as the imminent threat of climate change, we aspired to come up with the vision of “Becoming Nature-wise”, for session 2021-22. By presenting this theme, We intend to underline and emphasize the importance of adapting our thoughts, behaviors, and actions to be more environmentally conscious while still striving towards advancement as well as taking into account the limitations imposed by the pandemic. As a club, we want each of our members to do their part in bringing about a collective transformation: A change towards hoping for a better future.
