Mid-State Literacy Council provides the opportunity of education for adults who need literacy in Centre and Clearfield Counties. Our dream is that no one lacks literacy so everyone can access a life of safety, realized goals, and community participation. Privately funded, one-to-one tutoring and classes reach and uplift over 200 adult learners per year with the help of 200 trained volunteers and a professional staff. When you are interested in helping an adult learn to read, improve their math skills, or learn the English language, please contact us today. Community support is changing lives, helping families, and leading to employment, improved health, and children's school success. Thank you for supporting literacy. Mid-State Literacy Council is celebrating 50 years of service.
