The Crowded Closet is a non-profit thrift store located at 851 Highway 6 E in Iowa City, Iowa. Our mission is to share God’s love and compassion in the name of Christ by supporting Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) world relief, service and development programs, as well as local community relief agencies. All the profits of the Crowded Closet go to support these relief and service organizations. Run by a small staff and more than 300 regular volunteers, Crowded Closet sells donated goods such as clothing for men, women and children, housewares, furniture, toys, books and antiques. In addition, we offer Fair Trade food items such as coffee and chocolate as well as seasonal items such as decor, gifts and more.
