Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville (HFHGC) was founded in 1991 as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We work with low-wealth families, volunteers and the communities of greater Charlottesville to create safe, decent, affordable housing. Over the past three decades, we have built homes in partnership with more than 250 families. The scope of our mission and vision continues to broaden, deepen and evolve as we seek to combat the local affordable housing crisis. HFHGC strives to be an agent of hope and to strengthen community in everything we do.
