The founders went door to door to recruit students, there was no question of charging fees for the initial few decades. With that humble beginning, Banasthali today stands as the 'world's largest residential university for women, having more than 15000 students on its 950 acre campus, having a distinct ideology of 'Five Fold Education' nurturing women leaders with strong value base. Banasthali Vidyapith aims at the synthesis of spiritual values and scientific achievements of both the East and the West. Its educational programme is based on the concept of "Panchmukhi Shiksha" and aims at all round harmonious development of personality. Emphasis on Indian culture and thought characterized by simple living and khadi wearing are hallmarks of life at Banasthali. The university features among the top 400 universities is Asia and among top 3-4% universities in the world as per Times Higher Education rankings. It is also the 2nd highest ranked women's university across the globe. Ministry of HRD through NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) has rated Banasthali with the highest possible 'A++' grade putting the Banasthali among best universities in India.
