Hop-on, hop-off buses also called as HoHo buses have been introduced in the city by Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation (“DTTDC”) in collaboration with Purple UMTC Transit Pvt. Ltd. 14 air conditioned HoHo buses will take tourist for a Dilli Darshan from 1st October stopping at various important landmarks of Delhi and visiting various sites of tourist importance.
Delhi CM, Sheila Dixit launched the HoHo bus services. “The bus service will take visitors across the city. It is a very special service and I hope people will like it,” Ms. Dikshit said.
HoHo bus tours will start at 8 am and every bus will leave at a half hour interval to cover the 19 tourist destination on a 65 kms route. At each stop the bus will wait for an interval of 30 minutes. For adults, ticket prices are Rs. 300/- per person and Rs. 150/- for a child. The tickets are valid as a one day pass, on the day which it was bought. One can also make online bookings on www.hohodelhi.com where a map of the bus route is also available.
Passengers can buy one ticket and hop on or off at any of the stops as per the itinerary. It means that if one wants to explore a certain market or museum beyond the limited time period, one can then hop on to the next bus from the same stop.
To give information of various monuments, markets, museums, parks and eating joints, each bus tour includes the services of a guest relations executive, who will give information of all sites visited to aid tourist/ passengers
