1st January 2014: Impregilo became Salini Impregilo - merger of Salini and Impregilo.
Salini Impregilo is an international group specializing in the construction of major public works. A top player in the sector, it places first in the ENR ranking for infrastructure projects in the water segment.
Active in more than 50 countries, it has been involved in the construction of some of the most complex and innovative infrastructure projects.
The Group came into being in 2014 with the merger of two companies: Salini and Impregilo. It bases its activities on a strong passion for building, consolidated through countless achievements on five continents during a century of activity.
Its activities range from dams and hydroelectric plants to civil buildings. It has a strong track record: 230 dams and hydroelectric plants; 6,700 kilometres of railway lines; 1,250 kilometres of underground works, 340 of which metro systems; 36,000 kilometres of roads and highways as well as 320 bridges and viaducts.
Salini Impregilo has 34,400 employees from 85 nationalities, aspiring to build infrastructural projects that act as a catalyst for growth and the improvement of the economic and social well-being of communities.
